Blog #9 How has this course assisted with your overall development as a graphic designer?

When registering for this class, I honestly did not know what was required of me. After learning it was a digital class where I would be required to draw, I was a tad bit fearful as I knew I was not the best drawer and my artwork and experience were lacking. That fear slowly eroded as the classes passed and as of now I can say that I although my drawing may not be of the best, my confidence has grown and that I am an amateur graphic designer. This course has taught me perception is subjective and sometimes what is deemed as ugly can truly be an amazing piece of work. In addition, what I learnt was self doubt as a designer will get you no where and that although a deign may not be the best it is your duty as the designer to stand by it, acknowledge the flaws but still the ability to market the product if so needed. My development to this point has grown and even though I may be an amateur designer, I can leave this course in May and if further interested to continue designing, I would not be afraid to pick up an artbook and try to create a design or better yet go into the field of designing
