Blog #9 How has this course assisted with your overall development as a graphic designer?

Before this course I did not even know about adobe illustrator honestly, I only knew about the"badword". This course has taught me how to take my hand drawn sketches and turn them into digital illustrations which I can further manipulate and preserve even better. I am now able to utilize my laptop for something productive other than facebook and twitter which I frequent. Seeing my designs on the screen and knowing I created it has done a lot for my self esteem. Coming into the course i dreaded it at first because I thought I was not capable of getting through, I thought everyone would excel and i wouldn't but hearing great critiques about my assignments made me realise I was just as good as anyone else. This course has made me more confident in my work and that is one of the most essential qualities for a graphic designer, confidence. If the designer is not confident in their work then the client (s) won't be either. Thanks so much for providing the course because now i have an additional skill and a new perspective of myself.
