There are so many digital Illustrators with amazing talent that it’s really hard to isolate just one as my favorite. But if I absolutely must… my single selection would be Yiying Lu.
Now a very gifted designer in Australia, Yiying Lu was born in China. Her illustrations are simple but attractive. Originally titled ‘Lifting a Dreamer’, her creative piece is now Twitter’s iconic ‘Fail Whale’.
Lu is also known for her tasteful artistic makeover to Louis Vuitton’s QR Codes. Her logo artwork collection further showcases her unique graphic style.
Though photo-realistic illustrations depict great artistic skills and patience, such as illustrations by Halim Ghodbane, my personal preference is more towards the not so ornate illustrations.
